I have to calculate a D2PAK footprint from ST Electronics.

In the library expert I only see the option to calculate a TO (DPAK).

Is it the best way to use the maximum with for the e1 value since the D2PAK has a kind of a T-shape?

I bet the component mfr. recommended pattern is not T-Shape, rather it's a full pad used for thermal relief.

You can use the TO (DPAK) component family to create a D2PAK footprint.

You can also select the "Footprint" tab and enter the mfr. recommended pattern (after you enter the component dimensions to calculate the IPC pattern).

Hi Tom,

It is an thermal relief pad and the manufacturur recommended shape is 2mm larget then the lagest size.
I will use the TO (DPAK) to calculate.

Thank you for your quick reply.
