How to make a batch output an alternative.

   Just a tip for those CADSTAR usersthat want to be able to batch output parts in Least, Nominal & Maximum dimensions and have a single component name but each different sized version of it as an alternative footprint.
(This is so that it can easily be selected within a design and changed I.E. when going from a prototype with Maximum to Least for production etc).

Output your batch with the environment setting as required and the component name will have L, N or M at the end of it.

Open the .CPA file within notepad and use search and replace for the following.
The text to search/replace is within the quote.

Least 
Find
 L" "" replace with 
 " "L"

Nominal 
Find
 N" "" replace with 
 " "N"

Maximum
Find
 M" "" replace with 
 " "M"

And save the .cpa file and import as usual.

Then you will get alternatives for each output.
