I want to rename the padstack, so that it complies with the padstacks we already have in our library. c45 --> SM Round 0.45 This is changed by the software to "SM Round 0_45" Is there a restricting on the padstack naming? Regards, Charles

You cannot rename pad stacks in the Calculator. However, you can rename pad stacks in FP Designer. So, create the part in the Calculator and then move it to FP Designer, rename the pad stacks and save the part to FPX. |

Library Expert has rules established in the IPC-7351 Pad Stack Naming Convention here - If you want something different, this would be a "New Feature" that would have to be requested here - I'll see if I can get this pushed up to the top of the New Feature list. |

At this time, our programmers are reluctant to add a period to the pad stack naming convention for fear of regression bug issues and not being able to support other CAD tools. We'll pick this up again for the V2018 release. |
