Hello,

I would like to request a feature be added to the DPAK generator.  Many DPAK and D2PAK packages are specified with clipped leads, such as TO-252AA, which specifies that "lead number 2 was removed" and the active terminals are 1, 3 and 4.  Currently this is not directly supported within Footprint Expert.

For simple configurations, like the 3-terminal TO-252AA, the workaround is to specify double the pin pitch and manually rename the pads after generation.  But this does not work for e.g. TO-252BB, which has five leads on the edge with only one clipped.  The 3D model would still be generated with all leads shown as it is now.

Thanks!

I think the latest V2022.06 already has this feature.

If you need a webcast demo, let us know and we'll demonstrate "Hide & Delete Pins" and "Reorder Pin Names".

Use the Right Mouse Button.

Thanks Tom, I'll give that a try this afternoon.  Can the tool still generate 3D STEP models for packages with hidden/deleted pins?
