    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=30">gcary</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1538<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 Jan 2015 at 10:32pm<br /><br />Thanks Tom.&nbsp; How about "Header, Receptacle"?&nbsp; "Header, Right Angle Receptacle" is an option, but not a straight vertical version.&nbsp; Another minor issue is that the tail length is not an option for any of the headers.&nbsp; It isn't just an aesthetic thing.&nbsp; The tail is important because one of the big reasons for using 3D models is to visually see if there are any issues.&nbsp; If someone happened to use a thicker board, they would see that the tail was too short for soldering to.&nbsp; Also, connectors like stacking PC/104 cannot be generated if the tail length can't be specified.<br><br>Thanks,<br><br>Greg<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1538<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 Jan 2015 at 8:58am<br /><br /><p>The Library Expert models do not have a lot of Cut Extruded features as the component manufacturer does not provide dimensional data for the Length &amp; Width size of the cutouts. </p><p>And we never know how short or tall the body will be to guess what the cutouts should be. </p><p>If I want a real fancy connector, I request it on Parts on Demand and Request a Part - <a href="http://www.pcblibraries.com/POD" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.pcblibraries.com/POD</a> </p><p>You can request any Schematic Symbol in any format and any SolidWorks 3D SLDPRT&nbsp;model or STEP version. </p>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=30">gcary</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1538<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 Jan 2015 at 1:54am<br /><br />I don't see a way to create a 3D model of a vertical shrouded header that has the polarization key notch in it.&nbsp; Here is an example of what I can create with the 3D Step generator:<br><br><img src="uploads/30/3DStepShroudedVerticalHeader.png" height="282" width="330" border="0" /><br><br>This is what I would like to create:<br><br><img src="uploads/30/ShroudedVerticalHeaderWithPolarizati&#111;nKey.png" height="180" width="197" border="0" /><br><br>Ribbon cables use the polarizing notch to make sure the cable is orientated properly.&nbsp; I'd like to be able to show people the orientation of the headers when I make a 3D rendering of my PCB in Altium.&nbsp; Is there a way to include a notch?<br><br>Thanks!<br><br>Greg<br><br>]]>
